Hi, I’m Marie.

My name is Marie Powers. I’m a licensed tattoo artist in Virginia Beach, VA and can be found at The Vintage Cauldron. I started tattooing in the beginning of 2024, but have been creating art my whole life. I enjoy creating large scale, black and grey pieces. I began my journey in the tattoo industry in 2023 as an apprentice, and started officially tattooing in 2024. Before that, I attended a fine arts school throughout high school where I took classes on many mediums and art history. Now, I enjoy tattooing large scale pieces, florals, figures, and custom work in reference to pop culture. Some styles I enjoy tattooing include realism, art nouveau, art deco, fine line, neo-traditional, and my illustrative work.

Outside of tattooing, I love the fine arts and learning about art history. I enjoy a wide variety of music and love attending concerts! I play guitar, bass, piano, and will dabble in karaoke with my friends. I love traveling and have an ever-growing list of places I want to visit. I often cook for my friends and family and overly stress about if they truly enjoy the food or if they’re being polite. (I think I do a good job)

  • You can either stop by the shop to do an in person consultation or you can fill out the contact form located on my website.

    When filling out the form or emailing me it will take 3-5 days for me to get back to you.

    After our initial consult you will need to put down a $100 deposit in order to secure a date and time.

  • I price by piece, not hourly.

    My minimum is $150.

    Pricing is determined based on size, placement, style, and complexity.

  • A $100 deposit will be required once a date and time is set.

    All deposits are Non-Refundable.

    The $100 deposit will go towards the final cost of your tattoo.

  • Make sure you eat a good meal and are hydrated before your appointment.

    Dress comfy and appropriately for the tattoo and ensure that the area is clean.

    You may bring ONE guest that is 18+ with you to your appointment.

    You are more than welcome to bring snacks, a drink and an activity for you to do that doesn’t interfere with the tattooing process.

    Complimentary snacks and drinks are also provided.

  • I will NOT tattoo anything that is; racist, anti LGBTQ+, misogynistic, discriminatory, appropriative, or hateful/harmful in nature.

    I will not tattoo genitals.
